Morzycko Lake

Morzycko Lake is one of the deepest water reservoirs of West Pomerania. In Poland, it ranks 9th in terms of depth. The waters of the reservoir have a purity class II and high transparency. Surroundings of the reservoir are calm and picturesque areas that are ideal for relaxing by the lake in the comfort of wildlife.

The entire surface of Lake Morzycko is over 340 hectares. While the maximum depth of the reservoir is about 60 m. The shores of the lake are high and mostly covered with dense forests. The total length of the coastline is about 12 meters. Słubia River flows out of the reservoir, which crosses the Cedynia National Park surrounding the lake. The reservoir is a vendace lake with an irregular shape and numerous depths. The bottom of the lake is hard and sandy.

The area of ​​Lake Morzycko is also unusual tourist attractions. The most important of them include the remains of a Russian aircraft from World War II – the Yak-9 fighter. Mentioned wreckage of the machine is divided into two parts that can be found at buoys marked with buoys. The lake also contains the remains of fishing boats.
