Koronowskie Lake is located in the lower section of the Brda River. The name of the lake was derived from the name of the town that lies nearby – Koronowo. The Koronowskie Lake stretches from the Kamionka River to the hydroelectric power plant in Samociążek. The maximum tank depth is over 20 meters. The area of the lake is about 13 square kilometers. The Koronowskie Lake was created as a result of the accumulation and connection of seven glacial lakes: White Lake, Black Lake, Lake Lipkusz, Lake Strzemno, Lake Turzynek, Lake Stoczek and Lake Piaseczno. Today, these lakes are bays of Koronowskie Lake but have retained their former names.

On the area of Koronowskie Lake, northern winds most often occur, which cause reflections from the shore. Not far from the dam is Pieczyska – the most attractive Koronowa district.
