The Great Babiety Lake is one of the picturesque reservoirs of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. The water reservoir has a very extensive and varied coastline which is usually overgrown with reeds and rushes.
The reservoir is a gutter lake located about 20 kilometers from Szczytno. The shores of Great Babiety Lake are usually steep and high. Around the basin there are dense forests and meadows covered with wild vegetation. The surface of the entire lake is about 250 hectares, while the maximum depth of the reservoir can reach up to 65 meters. The vegetation of the lake is poor and most often occurs in the extreme sections of the basin.
